Air Injection Check Valve Removal







1. Remove air injection vacuum hose.







2. Remove air injection check valve pipe, crimps, and bolt.







3. Remove air injection solenoid switch and bolt.







4. Remove air injection check valve front nuts.







5. Remove air injection check valve rear nuts.







6. Remove air injection check valve front bracket and bolt.







7. Remove air injection check valve rear bracket and nuts.







8. Remove air injection check valve pipe adapters, front.







9. Remove air injection check valve pipe adapters, rear.




Air Injection Check Valve Installation







Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Fastener Notice


1. Install air injection check valve pipe adapters, rear.
- Tighten the air injection check valve pipe adapters to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).







2. Install air injection check valve pipe adapters, front.
- Tighten the air injection check valve pipe adapters to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).







3. Install air injection check valve rear bracket and nuts.
- Tighten the air injection check valve rear bracket nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).







4. Install air injection check valve-front bracket, bolt and nut.
- Tighten the air injection check valve front bracket bolt and nut to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).







5. Install air injection check valve rear.
- Tighten the air injection check valve to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

6. Install air injection check valve nut, rear.
- Tighten the air injection check valve nut rear to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).







7. Install air injection check valve front.
- Tighten the air injection check valve front to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

8. Install air injection check valve nut front.
- Tighten the air injection check valve nut to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).







9. Install air injection solenoid switch and bolt.
- Tighten the air injection solenoid switch bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).







10. Install air injection check valve pipe, clamps, and bolt.
- Tighten the air injection check valve pipe bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).







11. Install air injection vacuum hose.
