Power Seat Relay: Service and Repair
RELAY REPLACEMENT - SEAT LUMBAR ADJUSTERREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the bolts that secure the rear of the seat to the floorpan.
2. Disengage the front seat hooks from the floorpan and tip the seat back to access the lumbar relays.
3. Disconnect the position assurance pins and remove the electrical connectors from the relays (1,2).
IMPORTANT: Only the vertical relay connector has a red and a yellow wire. Mark the relay.
4. Slide the vertical or horizontal relay toward the seat center and lift up to disconnect the relay from the clip.
5. Remove the relay from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the relay on the nylon clip.
2. Press down and slide the relay towards the seat side.
3. Install the harness connector to the relay (1,2).
4. Insert the position assurance pins to secure the connectors.
5. Engage the front seat hooks in the floorpan.
6. Install the bolts which secure the seat to the floorpan.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).
