Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Service and Repair

AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.




2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the outside air temperature sensor that is located on the front, right radiator air baffle.
3. Pull on the retainer to remove the outside air temperature sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the outside air temperature sensor to the radiator air baffle.
2. Press in the retainer to install outside air temperature sensor.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the outside air temperature sensor.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) for approximately one and a half minutes or at a speed of 72 km/h (45 mph) for approximately one minute in order to obtain the outside air update.
