Side Impact Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones .
2. Remove the front door sill plate.
3. Remove the rear door sill plate.
4. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel.
5. Remove the front seat belt retractor.
6. Remove the side impact sensor electrical connector.




7. Remove the side impact sensor fasteners (2).
8. Remove the side impact sensor (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the side impact sensor (1).
2. Install the side impact sensor fasteners (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

3. Install the side impact sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the front seat belt retractor.
5. Install the center pillar lower trim panel.
6. Install the rear door sill plate.
7. Install the front door sill plate.
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones.
