Wiper Arm Replacement

WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the plastic nut cover (1) from the wiper arm (3).

IMPORTANT: Before you remove the windshield wiper arm, place the wipers in the park position and note its location for proper installation.

2. Remove the following components from the windshield wiper transmission:
- The 1 nut (2)
- The wiper arm (3)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the windshield wiper arm (3) to the windshield wiper transmission. Secure the arm with the nut (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the windshield wiper arm nut to 20.5 N.m (15 lb ft).

2. Install the plastic nut cover (1) to the wiper arm (3).
