Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

Tools Required
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fan shroud.





2. Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector (3).
3. Remove the pressure sensor from the high pressure line (2).
4. Remove and discard the O-ring.

Installation Procedure
1. Install a new O-ring.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the pressure sensor to the high pressure line (2).

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 6 Nm (53 Ib in)

3. Connect the pressure sensor electrical connector (3).
4. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A.
5. Install the tan shroud.
