Shift Control Assembly ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Remove the console trim panel from the console.
2. Using a screwdriver, remove the shift control lever boot (2).
3. Carefully lift the shift control boot to gain access to the shift lever shaft screws.
4. Remove the shift control lever shaft retaining bolts (3).
5. Remove the shift control lever assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the shift control lever assembly (1) in the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the shift control lever shaft retaining bolts (3).
^ Tighten the shift control bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Carefully snap the shift control lever boot into place.
4. Install the console trim panel on the console.
