Deceleration Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the LH front seat.





2. Remove the bolt (1) and the upper deceleration sensor bracket (2).
3. Disconnect the deceleration sensor electrical connector.





4. Remove the two bolts (1) that retain the deceleration sensor (2).
5. Remove the deceleration sensor (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the deceleration sensor (2) to the vehicle.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the two bolts (1) that retain the deceleration sensor.
^ Tighten the two deceleration sensor bolts to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the deceleration sensor electrical connector.





4. Install the upper deceleration sensor bracket (2) and the bolt (1).
^ Tighten the upper deceleration sensor bolt to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the LH front seat.
