Shift Control Cable Adjustment





1. Raise the hood.
2. Clean the area around where the shift cable attaches to the transmission, if necessary.
3. Push the shift cable adjustment retainer into the released position.
4. Place the transmission range selector lever into the PARK position.
5. From inside the vehicle, place the floor shift control into the PARK position.





6. With both levers in the PARK position, push the shift cable adjustment retainer into the locked position.
7. Confirm proper operation of the shift control system and repeat the adjustment procedure if the shift position detents feel vague or if there are shift concerns.
