Knock Sensor (KS) Replacement (Left)



KNOCK SENSOR (KS) REPLACEMENT (LEFT)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System. Service and Repair
2. Disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector.




3. Remove the knock sensor bolt.
4. Remove the knock sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the knock sensor.
2. Install the knock sensor bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).




3. Connect the knock sensor electrical connector.
4. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System. Service and Repair
