Latch Replacement - Driver Seat Back



LATCH REPLACEMENT - DRIVER SEAT BACK

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the seat back latch to seat back frame retaining screw (1).
2. Remove the front seat back panel.




3. Disengage the seat back cover J-clips (1) and the Velcro tabs (2) at the lower corners.




4. Push up on the retaining clip (1) retaining the release lever.




5. While holding upward pressure on the retaining clip, grasp the release lever (1) and pull away from the seat back to remove.
6. Remove the release lever assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Push inward on the seat back release lever (1) ensuring the lever snaps into release lever retaining clip.




2. Engage the seat back cover J-clips (1) and the Velcro tabs (2) at the lower corners.
3. Install the front seat back panel.




4. Install the seat back latch to seat back frame retaining screw (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the seat back latch retaining screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
