Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the head restraint to the full-up position.




2. If the guide has a button, press in to release the lock tabs.




3. If the guide assembly has a hole, insert a small rounded tool such as an allen wrench (2) into the hole in order to release the lock tabs.
4. Remove the head restraint from the seat back (3).

Installation Procedure

1. With the notches facing the front, push the support rods fully into the head restraint.




2. Install the head restraint (1) into the seat back (3).
3. Push the head restraint to the full-down position.
4. Raise the head restraint in order to ensure that the restraint stops at the detent.
5. Return the head restraint to the original position.
