License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair



LICENSE LAMP/BACKUP LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the license/backup lamp nuts (1) from the lamp.
3. Disconnect the license/backup lamp electrical connector (2).
4. Remove the license/backup lamp (3) from the rear compartment lid.




5. Remove the license/backup lamp electrical harness, if required.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the license/backup lamp electrical harness, if removed.




2. Position the license/backup lamp (3) to the rear compartment lid.

3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the license/backup lamp nuts (1) from the lamp.

Tighten the the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Connect the license/backup lamp electrical connector (2).
5. Close the rear compartment.
