Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Restraint System in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR System.




2. Remove the retaining screws (1) from the steering wheel radio controls.
3. Remove the steering wheel radio controls (2).
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the radio control switches.




5. Remove the screws from the automatic transmission shift auxiliary position switches (1).
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Remove the automatic transmission shift auxiliary position switches (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the automatic transmission shift auxiliary position switches (2).
2. Connect the electrical connectors.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the screws to the automatic transmission shift auxiliary position switches (1).

Tighten the automatic transmission shift auxiliary position switch retaining screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).




4. Connect the electrical connectors to the radio control switches (2).
5. Install the steering wheel radio controls (2).
6. Install the retaining screws (1) to the steering wheel radio controls (2).

Tighten the radio control retaining screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

7. Enable the SIR System.
