Rear Side Door Window Replacement



REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. NOTE: Refer to Paint Damage Notice.

Apply masking tape to the outer applique and frame.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel.
3. Remove the rear door water deflector.
4. Remove the rear door window inner belt sealing strip.
5. Raise the window far enough in order to gain access to the bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.
6. Remove the bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.
7. Remove the window (1) from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the window (1) in between the inner and the outer panels.
1. Point the lower front corner of the rear door window down.
2. Pass the rear door window through the belt opening.
3. Align the edges of the window with the rear door window weatherstrip.
4. Ensure that both sealing lips on the rear door outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downward.If this condition is present, the rear door window will not raise properly.
2. Raise the window (1) far enough to gain access to the bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.

3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Install the forward window guide channel bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Install the rearward window guide channel bolts (2) that attach the window to the regulator.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
5. Remove the masking tape.
6. Inspect the window for proper operation.
7. Install the rear door window inner belt sealing strip.
8. Install the rear door water deflector.
9. Install the rear door trim panel.
