Scan Tool Data Definitions

Body Control Module (BCM)

Battery Voltage Signal
- The scan tool displays 0 - 20 volts. The scan tool displays the voltage as received by the body control module (BCM).

Brake Lamp Cmd.
- The scan tool displays On and Off. The scan tool displays the status of the brake switch to the BCM.

Shift Lock Solenoid Command
- The scan tool displays Unlock and Lock. The scan tool displays the status of the shift lock control to the BCM.

Engine Control Module (ECM)

Ignition 1 Signal
- The scan tool displays 0 - 20 volts. The scan tool displays the voltage as received on the ignition 1 circuit to the ECM.

IMS
- The scan tool displays Invalid, Drive 3\Drive 2, Drive 2, Reverse\Neutral, Neutral, Drive 5, Park\Reverse, Park, Drive 3, Drive 4\Drive 3, Reverse, Park\Reverse, Drive 5\Drive 4, and Drive 4. The scan tool displays the position of the transmission IMS switch.
