Folding Top Side Rail Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the folding top from the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear side weatherstrip.
3. Remove the rear side weatherstrip retainers.
4. Remove the side tension cable.
5. Remove the 3 bolts (1) from the folding top side rail.
6. Disconnect the right or left No. 4 bow as required.
7. Disconnect the right or left No. 3 bow as required.
8. Remove the torque tube (2).
9. Remove the folding top link.
10. Disconnect the buttress lift cable from the spring.
11. Remove the folding top side rail (1) from the top.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the folding top side rail (1) to the top.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the 3 bolts (1) to the folding top side rail.

Tighten the side rail bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the right or left No. 4 bow as required.
4. Connect the right or left No. 3 bow as required.
5. Install the ball socket infold drive link.
6. Install the side tension cable.
7. Connect the buttress link cable to the spring.
8. Install the rear side weatherstrip retainers.
9. Install the rear side weatherstrip.
10. Install the folding top to the vehicle.
11. Inspect and test the folding top for proper fit and adjustment.
