Yaw Rate Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the LH front seat.




2. Remove the bolt (1) and the yaw rate sensor bracket (2).
3. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.




4. Remove the 2 bolts (1) that retain the yaw rate sensor (2).
5. Remove the yaw rate sensor (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the yaw rate sensor (2) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the 2 bolts (1) that retain the yaw rate sensor.

Tighten the 2 yaw rate sensor bolts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

3. Connect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.




4. Install the upper yaw rate sensor bracket (2) and the bolt (1).

Tighten the upper yaw rate sensor bolt to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

5. Install the LH front seat.
6. Using the scan tool, perform the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration under the special functions menu.
