Park Brake Hardware Replacement (Drum Brakes)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the drum (17).
2. Remove the park brake hardware (7,8,9,10,11,12,13,23,24) with the brake shoes (14,20).
Installation Procedure




1. Apply Lubriplate(R) Lubricant, GM P/N 1050109 (Canadian P/N 5264008), or the equivalent, to the metal contact points on the backing plate (1) and the adjuster strut (3).
2. Assemble the adjuster strut (2,3,4).




3. Install the park brake hardware (7,8,9,10,11,12,13,23,24) with the shoes.
4. Install the drum (17).
