STOP LAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution.




Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the stop lamp switch electrical connector.
3. Remove the locknut (2) and the stop lamp switch (1) from the brake pedal bracket (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the stop lamp switch (1) to the brake pedal bracket (3). Secure the stop lamp switch (1) using one locknut (2). Do not tighten.
2. Adjust the stop lamp clearance. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment.

3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note.

Tighten the locknut (2) for the stop lamp switch (1).

Tighten the locknut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Connect the stop lamp switch electrical connector.
5. Connect the negative battery cable
