Horn: Service and Repair

HORN REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the horn electrical connector.
2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
- The bolt
- The bracket with the horn (2) attached




3. Remove the following components from the bracket (1), if necessary:
- The nut (2)
- The horn (3)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note.




Install the horn (3) to the bracket (1), if removed. Secure the horn with the nut (2).

Tighten the horn retaining nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




2. Install the horn (2) and bracket to the vehicle. Secure the bracket with the bolt.

Tighten the horn bracket mounting bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the horn electrical connector.
