Transmission Fluid Checking

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.




2. Remove the transaxle oil level/filler plug (1) from the transaxle.
3. Inspect the transaxle oil level.
Ensure that the oil level is even with the bottom of the transaxle oil level/filler plug hole.
4. If the oil level is low, adjust the oil level accordingly by adding API GL-4 or GL-5 SAE 75W-90 or the equivalent.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

5. Install the transaxle oil level/filler plug into the transaxle.

Tighten the transaxle oil level/filler plug to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).

6. Lower the vehicle.
