Power Steering Pressure Switch: Service and Repair



Power Steering Pressure Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch connector (3).
2. Remove the PSP switch from the pump.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Using Proper Power Steering Fluid Notice.

1. Apply fluid to the sealing portion of the PSP switch. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the PSP switch to the pump.

Tighten the PSP switch to 21 N.m (15.5 lb ft).





Important: Verify the connectors are clean.

3. Connect the PSP switch connector (3).
