Wiper Transmission Replacement



WIPER TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the windshield wiper motor.




2. Using a flat-bladed tool, disengage the meshing of the inner rod (1) from the crank arm pivot (2).
3. Remove the wiper transmission (1) from the wiper motor (3).




4. Using a flat-bladed tool, disengage the meshing of the outer rod (1) from the crank arm pivot (3).




5. Remove the 2 torx bolts (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the wiper transmission (1) to the wiper motor (3).

2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note.

Install the 2 torx bolts (2) which secure the wiper transmission (1) to the wiper motor (3).

Tighten the windshield wiper transmission bolts to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).




3. Engage the meshing of the lower rod (1) to the crank arm (2).




4. Engage the meshing of the upper rod (1) to the crank arm (3).
5. Install the windshield wiper motor assembly.
