Front Wheel Speed Sensor Wiring Harness Replacement

Removal Procedure - Right





Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution (Brake Dust Caution) .
1. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the right hand front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .




4. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (4).
5. Detach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) from the brake hose/wheel speed sensor jumper harness bracket (1).
6. Detach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) from the front strut mounting bracket (3).

Important: Note the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2).


7. Remove the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure - Right

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution (Brake Dust Caution) .





Important: Make sure the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) is secured and routed in its original location.


1. Install the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) to the vehicle.
2. Attach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) from the front strut mounting bracket (3).
3. Attach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) to the brake hose/wheel speed sensor jumper harness bracket (1).
4. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (4).
5. Install the right hand front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
8. Use the scan tool in order to clear any DTCs.
9. Perform the System Check-Vehicle. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview) .



Removal Procedure - Left

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution (Brake Dust Caution) .




1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) , or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the left hand front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .




5. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
6. Detach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the brake hose/wheel speed sensor jumper harness bracket (4).
7. Detach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the front strut mounting bracket (2).

Important: Note the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3).


8. Remove the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure - Left

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution (Brake Dust Caution) .





Important: Make sure the routing of the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (2) is secured and routed in its original location.


1. Install the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) to the vehicle.
2. Attach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) from the front strut mounting bracket (2).
3. Attach the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (3) to the brake hose/wheel speed sensor jumper harness bracket (4).
4. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
5. Install the left hand front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Connect the wheel speed sensor jumper harness electrical connector (1).
8. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) , or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
9. Use the scan tool in order to clear any DTCs.
10. Perform the System Check-Vehicle. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview) .
