Radiator Drain Cock Replacement

Replacement Procedure

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Radiator Cap Removal Caution (Service Precautions) .
1. Remove the filler cap.
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
2. Raise and support the front of the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Service and Repair) .




4. Remove the drain cock (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the drain cock plug (1) ensuring a new O-ring is used.

Tighten the drain cock plug (1) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

2. Lower the vehicle.
3. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Service and Repair) .
4. Inspect the cooling system for leaks.
