Handle Lock Rod Guide Block Replacement

Removal Procedure






Important: This procedure covers the removal and installation of the front and the rear door.


1. Remove the front or rear door trim panel Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Pull the rod (2) upward until it releases from the lock rod guide block (1).
3. Remove the lock rod guide block (1) from the door.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lock rod guide block (1) to the door.
2. Install the inside handle rod to the lock rod guide block (1) by pushing inward to secure the rod into the lock rod guide block.
3. Inspect the door for proper operation.
4. Install the front or rear door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
