Folding Top Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Eye Protection Warning (Eye Protection Warning).

Warning: Refer to Folding Top Hydraulic Pressure Warning (Folding Top Hydraulic Pressure Warning).

Warning: Refer to Servicing Electrical Components Warning (Servicing Electrical Components Warning).

1. Place the folding top in the up position.
2. Open the rear compartment.
3. Remove the right side compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Coupe/Sedan) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Convertible) (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the 2 nuts that attach the control module to the pump bracket.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the control module.




6. Remove the control module from the pump bracket.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the control module to the pump bracket.




2. Connect the electrical connectors to the control module.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the 2 nuts that attach the control module to the pump bracket.

Tighten the nuts to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).

4. Install the side compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Coupe/Sedan) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Convertible) (Service and Repair).
5. Close the rear compartment.
6. Inspect the folding top for proper operation.
