Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the engine mount snubber bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Snubber Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the engine mount bracket, if equipped with a convertible top. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement (Convertible) (Service and Repair)Engine Mount Bracket Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair).
5. Disconnect the camshaft position actuator magnet electrical connector.




6. Remove the camshaft position actuator magnet bolts.
7. Remove the camshaft position actuator magnet and O-ring seal.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the camshaft position actuator magnet O-ring seal and magnet.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the camshaft position actuator magnet bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Connect the camshaft position actuator magnet electrical connector.
4. Install the engine mount bracket, if equipped with a convertible top. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement (Convertible) (Service and Repair)Engine Mount Bracket Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair).
5. Install the engine mount snubber bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Snubber Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
