Front Seat Horizontal Adjuster Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (Battery Disconnect Warning).

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
Warning: Refer to SIR Warning (SIR Warning).

2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
4. Place the front seat on a clean and suitable work surface.




5. Disconnect the track position sensor electrical connector (1).
6. Using a suitable drill bit and drill, remove the pop rivets (2) that secure the track position sensor to the track position sensor bracket.
7. Remove the track position sensor.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the track position sensor with the track position sensor bracket.
2. Using a universal pop rivet gun and pop rivets (2) secure the track position sensor to the track position bracket.
3. Connect the track position sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
Warning: Refer to SIR Warning (SIR Warning).

5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
6. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
7. Test the front seat for correct mechanical and electrical operation.
