Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the intake manifold sight shield bracket. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the intake air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Detach the wiring harness connectors (2) from the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1).
5. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket to engine assembly bolt (3) from the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1).
6. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1) from the engine assembly (6).
7. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket to engine assembly bolt (5) from the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (4).
8. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (4) from the engine assembly (6).




9. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket to engine assembly bolt (2) from the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1).
10. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1) from the engine assembly (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1) to the engine assembly (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket to engine assembly bolt (2) to the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1) and tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb in).




3. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (4) to the engine assembly (6).
4. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket to engine assembly bolt (5) to the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (4) and tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb in).
5. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1) to the engine assembly (6).
6. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket to engine assembly bolt (3) to the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1) and tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb in).
7. Attach the wiring harness connectors (2) to the upper intake manifold sight shield bracket (1).
8. Install the intake air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Install the intake manifold sight shield bracket. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
10. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
