HVAC Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (LHD) (Service and Repair)
3. Remove the right side floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side (Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side).
4. Remove the right hand hinge panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)
5. If required, remove the transmission control module. Refer to Transmission Control Module Replacement (5L40-E/5L50-E - Automatic Transmission).




6. Disconnect the HVAC control module electrical connectors (1).




7. Remove the HVAC control module to HVAC module assembly retaining screws (1).
8. Remove the HVAC control module (2) from the HVAC module assembly (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the HVAC control module (2) to the HVAC module assembly (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution)

2. Install the HVAC control module to HVAC module assembly retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




3. Connect the HVAC control module electrical connectors (1).
4. If required, install the transmission control module. Refer to Transmission Control Module Replacement (5L40-E/5L50-E - Automatic Transmission).
5. Install the right hand hinge panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the right side floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side (Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side).
7. Install the close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (LHD) (Service and Repair).
8. Install the glove box assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
