Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Note: DO NOT attempt to repair or alter the child seat anchor assembly. If the child seat anchor assembly is damaged, replace the entire assembly. Altering the child seat anchor assembly could result in personal injury.




1. Using a suitable tool open the child seat anchor assembly cap (1). Remove the child seat anchor assembly to body retaining bolt (2) from the child seat anchor assembly that is being serviced.




2. Remove the child seat anchor assembly (1) that is being serviced from the rear window shelf.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the child seat anchor assembly to the rear window shelf.





Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution (Component Fastener Tightening Caution).

Note: Ensure child restraint assembly is installed as per illustration, failure to adhere to this installation will result in incorrect operation of the child restraint assembly.

Note: Ensure that the anchor fitting is parallel to the vehicle centerline.

2. Install the child seat anchor assembly to body retaining bolt (2) and tighten to 20 Nm (22 lb ft).
3. Close the child seat anchor assembly cap (1).
