Fastener Tightening Specifications (Unit Repair)










(3.6L LY7)
Flex plates to crankshaft retaining bolts - First pass 30 Nm (22 lb ft)
Flex plates to crankshaft retaining bolts - Second pass 45 degrees using the J 45059 - angle meter

Install 2 NEW automatic transmission flex plate to crankshaft retaining bolts (1) in location at the top and bottom of the automatic transmission flex plate (2) bolt pattern allowing the automatic transmission flex plate (2) to hang in position.





(6.0L L76 and 6.2L LS3)

Flex Plate to crankshaft bolts - First pass 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
Flex Plate to crankshaft bolts - Second pass 50 Nm (37 lb ft)
Flex Plate to crankshaft bolts - Final pass 100 Nm (74 lb ft)
