Heater Inlet Pipe Replacement




Heater Inlet Pipe Replacement (LY7) (3.6L)

Removal Procedure




1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the heater pipe inlet hose (1) from the heater inlet pipe.




3. Remove the heater inlet pipe housing bolts (1).
4. Remove the housing.
5. Remove the heater inlet pipe housing seal. Discard seal.

Installation Procedure




1. Install a NEW heater inlet pipe housing seal.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the heater inlet pipe housing bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Install the heater inlet hose (1) to the heater inlet pipe.
4. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ GE 47716 Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LNJ Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) (Service and Repair).
