Inflatable Restraint Seat Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
2. Disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.




3. Remove the seat position sensor fastener.
4. Remove the seat position sensor (1).




5. Remove the seat position sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat position sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector.




2. Install the seat position sensor (1).
3. Install the seat position sensor fastener.




4. Insert a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in) feeler gauge between the seat position sensor (1) and seat rail (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Tighten the seat position sensor fastener.

Tighten the seat position sensor fastener to 8 Nm (71 lb in).




6. Check that the clearance (A) between the seat position sensor (1) and seat rail (2) is 0.6 mm (0.023 in) to 2 mm (0.079 in).
7. Connect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
8. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
