Power Steering Line/Hose: Service and Repair




Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement (LY7, Power Steering Pump to Reservoir)

Removal Procedure




1. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering fluid reservoir (3).
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
3. Remove the RH front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.




4. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering pump (3).
5. Remove the power steering reservoir inlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the vehicle.




2. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet pipe (2) to the power steering pump (3).
3. Install the RH front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
4. Lower the vehicle.




5. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering fluid reservoir (3).
6. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding Service and Repair.
