OnStar Vehicle Interface Unit Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the communication interface module. Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement (Communication Interface Module Replacement).
2. Remove the two nuts (1).
3. Disconnect the vehicle interface unit module electrical connector.
4. Remove the vehicle interface unit module with bracket (2), from vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the vehicle interface unit module (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install interface unit module retaining nuts (1).

Tighten the vehicle interface unit module bolts to 75 Nm (66 lb in).

3. Connect the vehicle interface unit module electrical connector.
4. Install the communication interface module. Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement (Communication Interface Module Replacement).
