Front Brake Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front wheel hub and bearing. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (1.8L Engine) (Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement)Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (2.4L Engine) (Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement).




2. Remove the 3 bolts (4, 5, 7) and the brake shield (3) from the knuckle (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the brake shield (3) to the knuckle (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the 3 bolts (4, 5, 7) and tighten to 8.3 Nm (73 lb in).
3. Install the front wheel hub and bearing. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (1.8L Engine) (Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement)Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (2.4L Engine) (Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement).
