Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair




Evaporator Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the blower case assembly. Refer to Blower Case Replacement (Blower Case Replacement).




2. Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
3. Remove the evaporator temperature sensor (1) from the evaporator core (2).

Installation Procedure





Note: Be sure to insert the evaporator temperature sensor only once because reinserting it will not allow it to be firmly secured.

Note: When reusing the evaporator core, insert the evaporator temperature sensor one row next to the one that has been used previously.

Note: After inserting the evaporator temperature sensor, do not apply excessive force to the wire.

Note: Directly insert the evaporator temperature sensor until the edge of the plastic case comes into contact with the evaporator core.

1. Install the evaporator temperature sensor (1) to the evaporator core (2).
2. Connect the electrical connector (3).
3. Install the blower case assembly. Refer to Blower Case Replacement (Blower Case Replacement).
