Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Exhaust

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Disconnect the duty vacuum switching valve connector (3) and the 3 engine wire harness clamps.




3. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (1).




4. Remove the bolt and the camshaft position sensor (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring (1) on the camshaft position sensor.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the camshaft position sensor (1) with the bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (7 lb ft).




3. Connect the camshaft position sensor (1).




4. Connect the 3 engine wire harness clamps and duty vacuum switching connector (3).
5. Inspect for oil leaks.
6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
