Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Without GT) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement)Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (With GT) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement).
3. Remove the front end sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Remove the front end sensor fastener (2).
5. Remove the front end sensor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front end sensor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the front end sensor - fastener (2).

Tighten the fasteners to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Install the front end sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Install the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Without GT) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement)Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (With GT) (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement).
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
