Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the five bolts and the front door window regulator, if equipped without power windows.




3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2), if equipped with power windows.
4. Loosen the temporary bolt (1).
Note: Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the front door window regulator may fall, causing damage.

5. Remove the five bolts (3).
6. Remove the front door power window regulator assembly.
7. Remove the temporary bolt (1) from the power window regulator assembly.




8. Remove the three screws (1), (2), (3) and the front power window motor assembly from the power window regulator, if necessary.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the three screws (1), (2), (3) and the front power window motor assembly to the power window regulator, if removed. Tighten the power window motor screws to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in).




2. Install the temporary bolt (1) to the power window regulator assembly.
3. Temporarily install the front door power window regulator assembly.
4. Install the five bolts (3). Tighten the temporary bolt (1) and the five bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb in).
5. Connect the electrical connector (2), if equipped with power windows.




6. Install the five bolts and the front door window regulator, if equipped without power windows. Tighten the five bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb in).
7. Install the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
