Drive Belt: Service and Repair

Alternator Single-belt Tension:
Minimum 265 N (60 lb)
After adjusting 355 ± 20 N (80 ± 5 lb)
New belt 535 ± 45 N (120 ± 10 lb)

Alternator Dual-belts Tension, measuring of one belt:
Minimum 200 N (45 lb)
After adjusting 310 ± 20 N (70 ± 5 lb)
New belt 535 ± 45 N (120 ± 10 lb)

Alternator Dual-belts Tension, measuring of both belts:
Minimum 420 N (95 lb)
After adjusting 645 ± 20 N (145 ± 5 lb)

NOTE: Measure using belt tension gauge.
