Fuse Block: Description and Operation

The fuses are of the blade type and, together with the connectors used, give rise to a lower voltage drop in the system than the earlier fuse type, In addition the fuses are more resistant to corrosion.

Color-coding of the blade fuses:
Color Rating
Red 10A
Blue 15A
Yellow 20A
Transparent 25A
Green 30A




Every blade fuse has test tappings, so that it can be checked without the need for removing it from the fuse box. If both tappings are live, the fuse is intact.

When the fuse has been removed, it will be clearly visible whether or not the fuse wire has melted.
