Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Mass Air Flow Sensor (Turbo engines)





Removal

1 Undo the hose clip securing the rubber gaiter to the mass air flow sensor.

2 Unplug the connector and release the two toggle clips securing the cover of the filter holder.

3 Withdraw the mass air flow sensor from the cover and rubber gaiter.


Fitting

Fit the new mass air flow sensor.

Make sure that the 0-ring is correctly located on the flange. Turn it so that the groove in the mass air flow sensor coincides with the notch in the cover.

Fit the rubber gaiter on the mass air flow sensor. Tighten the hose clip.

Plug in the connector.
