Preliminary Power Test

1. With ignition switch off, check the following:
a. Fuse No. 2 is satisfactory and power is supplied to fuse.
b. Fuse No. 9 is satisfactory and power is supplied to fuse.
c. On models with automatic transmission, check switch 76.
d. On all models, power is supplied to terminal 4 of selector and terminal 1 of the control unit.
e. That there is voltage at terminal 1 of speed transmitter.
2. Turn ignition switch on, then check the following:
a. Voltage at terminal 1 of the selector and terminal 9 of the control unit.
b. Power is supplied to vacuum pump.
3. Turn cruise control to the A-B SET position and check voltage at terminal 2 of the selector and terminal 2 of the control unit.
4. Set cruise control to the RESUME position, check the following:
a. Voltage at terminals 1 and 3 of the selector and at terminals 6 and 9 of the control unit.
b. Power is supplied to vacuum pump.
c. All connectors, cable harnesses and ground connections.
