To diagnose fault codes a Saab SRS system tester, Fig. 1, will be required. The tester is designed for connection to a special SRS socket located under the rubber dust excluder between the center console and the gear shift lever on 900 models or behind lower compartment in center console on 9000 models. Connection is by means of a cable, part No. 84 71 146 and a reference resistor, part No. 84 71 153.
