Check Engine (MIL) Lamp

CHECK ENGINE lamp (MIL)

Fault symptom
The lamp does not light up when the ignition is switched on. On M90- cars the lamp should go out after 2 seconds it working correctly.

Diagnostic procedure

1 Check the power supply
- Ignition switch in ON position.
- Select command code 452 with the ISAT scan tool.

Lamp flashing?
YES Continue fault diagnosis of the LH system. LH System Diagnostics
NO Continue fault diagnosis for "EDU" or "indicator lamp 47P".
