Actions Before Changing Control Module

Experience has shown that most of the control modules returned for warranty repairs are free of defects. In these cases, a control module replacement has not corrected the problem. Therefore, proceed as follows before replacing the control module:







1 Check all grounding points and power supply to the control module.
2 Check using the diagnostics tool that all test values are reasonable.
3 Check using the diagnostics tool that all activations are functional.
4 The control module must be replaced if the malfunction still exists.







5 When handling the control module, it is important to ground yourself, for example, by touching the hood. Avoid touching the pins on the control module.
